THE COP KILLER AND THE CORRECTIONS OFFICER

I confess...I watch the 12 noon news most days. Why I couldn't tell you. It's so "tabloid" it makes we wanna puke. Ya know...all about muggings and murders and accidents and basic mayhem. Why this classifies as news is beyond me. Could we have a little good news for a change? And I hate when they interview the family which more often than not is comprised of total morons. I sympathize with their plight but really...do we need to hear from the killer's mom telling us all what a good boy her son truly is?

Well anyway...today's "news" had a seriously disturbing story which for once rated high on the worthiness scale. Apparently, a female corrections officer and a cop killer inmate were actually having sex while he was incarcerated...and she is now pregnant with his baby. 

First, if you're a prison guard, how in the world can you even be attracted to a guy you know shot and killed two detectives at point blank range? Isn't this a guy you want to deprive of everything? For chrissakes...you're a CO (which would make you a first cousin to a policeman)...and you're gonna break the rules and fuck this scum bag without a rubber so you can have his baby? Holy shit! 

Next...how the fuck do you get the time and privacy to have sex with an inmate when you're a corrections officer? How the hell does that work?

And finally...ya know...there's a theory that the criminal gene is passed from generation to generation. And you want to bring another cop killer onto the face of the Earth? What the fuck was this woman thinking? 

Not a lot amazes me at this point what with all the escort stories that have been regaled upon me, but I gotta admit...this one takes the cake. I'd heard from somebody who stayed at Rikers for a year that the women were sucking a hunky corrections officer's cock through the bars late at night for Lady Bic shavers and what not. But this? Get the fuck outta here! 

I'm also aware that one of my old clients hooked up with a female CO at Rikers when she did a little time on the island for a simple misdemeanor. Ya know...I'm really not that naive but still...it makes me feel like CO's take their jobs so they can have sex with the inmates.

Many years ago, I was attending a party at a band leader's apartment and discovered that Al Fontaine, a very soulful guitar player I strummed on a few dates with, was actually a CO at Sing Sing during the day. "Wow! Really," was about all I could say. And his response was "There's a lot of sick puppies up there." And then we segued into some musical gossip. 

I don't think Al would ever get involved in any bull shit and I sincerely hope that he's the rule and not the exception, because if nothing else, there's one thing I know: We as a society don't need for cop killers and CO's to bring another potential criminal into the world. Call me Hitler...I don't care. And that's my two cents for the day.
